Has anyone read those? It would be interesting to contrast and compare, particularly with how the Neegan plot line is evolving.
It would end up being a seriously spoilerish thread, so people who don't read them should enter with caution,

Because I don't think that that's my responsibility to explain anything. I assume that we are all adults and that this isn't a classroom in which I am the instructor/leader. Everyone is capable of doing their own research. Now if I was wrong then what does it matter? Surely being incorrect won't result in an earth shattering event. Right?

If you want the rigjt answer, Google it. See now I'm forced to tell you what to do when you should have already done that. What a waste of my time. I shouldn't have even tried to help anyone.

Honestly I don't think the way you do. If something someone says doesn't make sense to me, I leave them alone and find what I need elsewhere. I don't stick around and harass that person for the correct answer especially when the question wasn't that important to the discussion to begin with.

Excuse me but the guy was already confused. I didn't get him there. That's why he asked the question. People ask questions when they are confused and are seeking clarification. And the last time I checked, confusion never killed anyone especially when the answer involves something as frivolous as the difference between a graphic novel and comic book. Which honestly is confusing in itself because first there were comic books and then graphic novels were invented. They both do the same thing. They both tell a story. If you purchase a volume of comic book issues, it looks like a book/novel and it's like reading a one long story and there is an ending just like a graphic novel. Same thing with Compendiums.
And honestly I have always felt that the term graphic novel was a glorified comic book.
So if our friend is still confused that's his problem not mine. He'll live. It's not as if I gave him the wrong directions to a hospital. Lol

He just wants me to answer in a certain way but the issue is a stupid one that for some reason he won't let go of.

I'm not going into detail because little things are added to the show that weren't part of the comic. So far the show is staying faithful to the comics with Negan. Most of Negan's scenes are panels taken straight from the source material. Except for the scenes involving Daryl because Daryl was made for the show. Rosita having Eugene make the bullet and then shooting Lucille is for the show. Denise doesn't die like that either. The Carol story arc isn't even in the comic because she died at the prison. Also Morgan's involvement in the rise up story arc is part of the show because in the source he died during the zombie horde attack on Alexandria.

Also, Andrea is alive and well, and playing house with Rick as his girlfriend. Michonne and Ezekial have a relationship, but as far as i can remember she is currently single.

Don't bother arguing with him. The little boy is embarrassed at not knowing the term graphic novel, so he's floundering with trying to find flaws in the explanation. There is no reasoning with a person who can't bear to be embarrassed. They'll go to any length to try to deflect.
When you encounter a person like that, just roll your eyes, hope that some day they'll get the therapy they desperately need, and ignore them. It's like trying to have a reasonably discussion with a drug addict. It's pointless.

I need therapy because I don't get embarrassed over a stupid question? If you're so helpful then why don't you answer his question then since you're so damn smart smart ass? The guy is still waiting around for an answer like a dumbass too. How come nobody else has answered the question since you're so sure that I'm wrong.

No. The guy who was arguing with you needs therapy. Read it again. Are you the "him" who was embarrassed because he didn't understand what a graphic novel is? I was saying HE'S not worth arguing with because HE'S nuts.
Fuck the walking dead boards. It wasn't IMDb, it's the damned show. It seems to bring out the worst in everyone.

TWD are comics, not a graphic novel. A graphic novel is one standalone story, like The Watchmen. TWD has multiple issues released periodically, making them a comic.
