Now that we see the results of imdb closing it's message boards and all these new online forums for movies and tv shows created in its place, it is clear that imdb had a monopoly on this type of online community. So I'm glad that imdb closed it's message boards. We now have diversity.

Geez, you're right! You can also close your own threads from discussion or make them private. Also, you can give half-star ratings to shows.

Also, you can "like" posts and also get in-site notifications. It's pretty great.
