I was a little thrown off when hearing the way they talk. Hopefully we get some form of explanation about why they talk that way. I mean we are only 4 years or so into the apocalypse, not enough time for basic English to completely change, right?

Truly strange way to speak. Maybe they found it was easier to have silence or minimal speaking to survive the walkers?

I found that strange too, I'd understand if they came across a loner type and their English was impaired due to a lack of social interaction. This group seems pretty huge, no idea why their ability to speak has become like that.
