Discuter de The Walking Dead

So went over to IMDb and posted a few links to this site on several active threads. Lets see what happens. And... it's true... a lot and I mean a lot of the threads there are pure garbage. Sex with the dead etc.

Let's make the trolls and idiots that do come here among the good posters feel unwanted. It's nice to have a new home.

I've never understood "ignore" buttons. Can't you just ignore people you don't like? I do it all the time. Even in real life. In fact, right now I'm pretty sure there are only 20 people on the planet.

Did you ever see the television show, i can't remember what series it appeared in (I thought at my age my long term memory was supposed to be unfailing) about the writer whose word processor could "delete" anything, or one, with the stroke of a key? I do remember it was based on a short story by Stephen King. Now that kind of button I can relate to! Also, great avatar! I'm looking very much forward to the HBO production dealing with the enmity between Bette and Joan during the filming of "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane". HBO usually does a good job; hopefully, they won't fuck it up. 🙏

And it's looking like we finally have an ignore button! That makes me happy. Hope I don't have to use it too much.

And the ignore button on IMDB was great. There is NO problem with an ignore button.

@sheezcrazy The ads for that have been glorious, with just the slightest hint of hyperbolic humor. Not comedic, of course, but I think it will be a level of drama that will give us a wry smile. I can't wait to see it.

Im here from imdb. Not a troll so no worries there. Im glad that I can find a new home here. I hope that all us refugees can get to know some of you that have been here a while and we can gain some new friends and family.

My Resident Evil family and friends have started coming over. I am still trying to figure this site out, but again just glad I could stake out some real estate and move in while the neighborhood is still pretty quiet.

Ditto. 👍👊

Hi, I just saw the message in IMDB and signed in here. The excessive trolling was making it impossible to read anything in those boards and that is why IMDB is pulling the plug on them. I am looking forward to have good exchanges of opinions about my favorite shows and movies. Cheers!

Looking forward to it. Just deleted by IMDB account from 2002, what a shame (and poor business decision)

Totally agree. But this is on imdb so just have to wait and see how things play out.

I definitely didn't frequent TWD/GoT boards because of the MASSIVE amount of trolling compared to the other boards I visited. Don't get me wrong, it really didn't bother me much most of the time because I thought 'well, it's IMDB. I'm used to it. It's been 11 years.' But you seriously couldn't have a real discussion about on either board.

I remember going to a movie board once(The House of Wax?) and they had pushed out all the old messages from when the movie had came out. It was like a bunch of people had just made a mini board. It was bizarre.

What were they talking about? Not the movie, I take it.

Man, I can't remember, it was bizarre as all hell, lol. Like it was daily reports or something, like starts with a date and has lists for stuff. Just something that certainly didn't belong on IMDB period. Maybe they were all smoking Peyote or something, LOL....

Word Processor of the Gods

Word

Well I would go to imdb on different occasions to look at what people said about certain movies. Id also go to share my thought on stuff that I found interesting. I frequented the resident evil boards because we all became like a huge family. Everytime a movie was released it feel like a family reunion.

I never bothered with trolls. If I saw a post that looked like it was from someone that was trying to spoil or ruin the boards I would if not it altogether or just not read what it said.

On a sidenote I dont know if anyone here is interested but this site: http://www.moviechat.org Has all the old imdb forum posts archived on the site so everyone can get back to posting in their original posts. 8-D I for one will still use this but its good that I can now go back to the imdb forums to read what people wrote about different films and analysis of them as well.

Bump on this. I did the same thing all the time. It was nice to read what someone wrote sometimes back to 2004 or earlier if it was a slow board. I learned so much from the boards and gave me things I hadn't thought about before regarding movies and TV. That's good to know that the other site has things archieved.

I never used the ignore option when I was on IMDb. However, I'm giving it a go here. In fact, I have one troll tucked away nicely already. And I'm quite a tolerant person. But everyone reaches a point when they say...enough already. I would like to enjoy my new place and neighborhood for awhile, without that a$$hole neighbor. So I've put up a fence...not a wall, just a fence.

Can you please post on topic? Thanks.
