Discuss The Walking Dead

So went over to IMDb and posted a few links to this site on several active threads. Lets see what happens. And... it's true... a lot and I mean a lot of the threads there are pure garbage. Sex with the dead etc.

Let's make the trolls and idiots that do come here among the good posters feel unwanted. It's nice to have a new home.

I've never understood "ignore" buttons. Can't you just ignore people you don't like? I do it all the time. Even in real life. In fact, right now I'm pretty sure there are only 20 people on the planet.

I never used the ignore option when I was on IMDb. However, I'm giving it a go here. In fact, I have one troll tucked away nicely already. And I'm quite a tolerant person. But everyone reaches a point when they say...enough already. I would like to enjoy my new place and neighborhood for awhile, without that a$$hole neighbor. So I've put up a fence...not a wall, just a fence.

Grandma Pyle always said "good fences make good neighbors".

Sorry Peachy. My bad. One OT isn't hurting anyone. But I'll try to do better, okay? I can't speak for anyone else though.

Aren't we on topic? Now that I think about it.

+Kay_Rock: Joan/Bette will be brought to you by FX, the same station that brought you Justified. I think I thought it was an HBO production because it's typical of their programming.

Your welcome to make your own thread. There are no rules for off topic discussions, not to mention this is all new for everyone trying to get acclimated to this website after having the rug pulled out from under everyone.

Well I would go to imdb on different occasions to look at what people said about certain movies. Id also go to share my thought on stuff that I found interesting. I frequented the resident evil boards because we all became like a huge family. Everytime a movie was released it feel like a family reunion.

I never bothered with trolls. If I saw a post that looked like it was from someone that was trying to spoil or ruin the boards I would if not it altogether or just not read what it said.

On a sidenote I don't know if anyone here is interested but this site: http://www.moviechat.org Has all the old imdb forum posts archived on the site so everyone can get back to posting in their original posts. 8-D I for one will still use this but its good that I can now go back to the imdb forums to read what people wrote about different films and analysis of them as well.

Bump on this. I did the same thing all the time. It was nice to read what someone wrote sometimes back to 2004 or earlier if it was a slow board. I learned so much from the boards and gave me things I hadn't thought about before regarding movies and TV. That's good to know that the other site has things archived.

I'm sure that this mentality won't be shared by all, but I wish that IMDB was NOT allowed to be archived in any way or forum. The reason I say this is that if it was completely burned to the ground, the anger and outcry would have been far worse, causing many to possibly NEVER use IMDB again. I want them to collapse under the weight of their stupidity.

I think IMDb will probably cease to exist eventually. It's too big, and now it's too boring to be sustainable. I don't see it making money.

I certainly hope so. And it's sad becuase there still are things that I like about IMDB, but I'd rather they go down then to get to be able to use it anymore.

It's tainted by the way they closed the boards. They basically said you have two weeks to get out, but no one really knew the exact date. It would have been different had they said the boards would go to read-only and then end on such-and-such a date and time.

Thought there was a date, the 20th
