...I could give a flying fuck. This is coming from someone who has read all the books, was into the show before it was "cool", and claimed that it was possibly the best TV series of all time. It really started to go south for me when they no longer had the books to pull material from. D&D did a decent job of bringing Martin's vision to the screen, albeit with some storyline or character changes I didn't fully agree with, but nevertheless, it was pretty good. Martin is an asshole for not writing out the remaining books so he is partly to blame but this last season has been too Hollywoodish in its hackey story development. But the final nail in the coffin is this ridiculous idea of splitting up the last season into two halves which in and of itself is bad enough but they also have the fuckin' audacity to skip a year in between. What a big fuck you to the fans and fuck you HBO. I steadily paid for HBO since GOT came out but I have had it canceled for a while now (end of last airing of GOT season) and I am finding it really difficult to bring myself to even want to watch the final season which will undoubtedly be an anti-climatic disaster like the disposal of Little Finger.
