They just change their mind in an instant? No talking, discussion, or any resistance.)

Then there's Arya, and it really bugs me once again that she did not go to King's Landing after killing Walden. That was a given. But they uncharacteristically send her to Winterfell for Stark kids melodrama and to add a death to season 7 of significance (LF) of anyone but their adversarial favorites in King's Landing, who they need for season 8. In the true nature of the show, to me, Arya goes South and is hiding out, disgusing herself beyond and just outside the walls of KL in season 7, and taking out a few more people on her kill list. These are just some examples. I also do not like how easily Viserion died, and also once again how idiotic that whole "mission" was in many ways.

It's better than most shows, if only for the special effects alone (although there is more quality than that; some fine acting comes along every now and then too, something i rarely if ever saw on other fantasy shows like the walking dead), but the story just lost me. I won't be excited for season 8 because of season 7 and the finale, but I'll definitely catch it on a binge watch once it's over.

I'm joking about the hacking, but our opinions are sure as hell exactly the same, although I do have to say that the Night King and his army of the dead were always the endgame as was previously mentioned by @WalkenOnSunshine. I'm not exactly happy at all about the scene where the blue flames, from that undead bastard of a dragon, just literally melted this 1,000' wall of ice that's stood for like a bazillion years irrc. Uhm forced action much lately GoT's writers? They really had to cram all of that into 7 episodes, that content needed to be stretched out into 10 episodes, at least that would've given the possibility of geographical logic and possibly a better plan for snatching a walker🤔 Idk of a worse possible plan than the one they chose, that was damn near Three Stooges material.

Re read my original post; I wasn't shocked by Snow and Dany locking limbs, just found it a little odd that of all the grievances OP could have expressed, the romance being forced was what he homed in on. The salaciousness of this pairing wasn't even listed among his objections, and being that Cersei and Jamie's union has never been presented as romantic(unlike the depiction of Dany and Snow's union), comparing the two is nothing less than a false equivalence. I'm actually a fan of the show. I just didn't like season 7 compared to earlier seasons, or the recent finale. It's nothing personal.
