IMO, the whole idea of bringing a wight to KL, in order to persuade Cersei to cease hostilities and join forces against the army of dead - is ridiculous just as the idea of the parley.

Anyone who knows Cersei even slightly can tell she doesn't give a **** about whatever happens beyond the Wall - all she wants is destroy her known enemies, namely the Starks and Targaryens. She probably plans either to kill any of her enemies who is stupid enough to come to parley at KL, or pretend she agrees and let them do the dirty work, and take over the North while they are busy fighting the white walkers.

Daenerys knows Cersei prefers to murder her than speak. Tyrion, who knows well how his sister thinks, told Daenerys "first she'd torture you in some horrible way, then she'd murder you". Well, why bother then? How can they think that one undead creature will make a difference?

It doesn't matter what Cersei chooses. They person whom they need to convince is Jamie. If he is convinced that fighting the zombies.is more important than the civil war, Cirsei will be left without a general or an army.

True, but from early childhood Cersei has always controlled Jaime, and so she believes she always will. I doubt that she will, since I think his devotion is wavering. But it hasn't dissolved yet.

Cersei never controlled Jaime. She never even believed she did. He always did whatever he wanted, pushing kids out of towers, attacking Ned Stark in the street, taking her by force in the Sept, defending then freeing his brother after accepting to leave the Kingsguard (and her) for his sake, going to Dorne on his own on an impulse…

First guess: Yes she will --- only to backstab them all ... hopefully Denayris will be prepared for that.
Second guess: Or they pull a Jaws spin. She doesnt´t believe them up until its too late and she gets eaten by the Ice Dragon ;)

But much of what Jaime wanted was to please Cersei. He felt he was protecting her by pushing Bran from the tower. And Cersei never wanted Myrcella in Dorne in the first place. She was also the one who talked him into joining the Kingsguard (even though it was against Tywin's wishes). He is still supporting her right to the Iron Throne. So I think she does feel she has some control (like when she warns him not to betray her again).

Jaime wanted to be with Cersei, yes. We never heard of his desire to please her. When he came back from captivity he had more demands than patience or wish to understand what she was going through. He was protecting himself and his children as much as Cersei when he pushed Bran. She was horrified and scolded him for it. Cersei didn't send him to Dorne, it was his idea. We don't know why Jaime joined the Kingsguard, the show never told (and if the books did, it is irrelevant, we are discussing the show), but it had Cersei say how much she wanted to love Robert, and "for quite a while". Of course he supports her. It is the only sane thing to do. As to warning someone, it is an attempt at control and most likely a sign of the absence of it.

Why? It isn't the only thing he could do. When Ned enters the throne room (Ok, this happens in the books, not on the show. But I think the books reveal quite a bit about the characters' motivations), he discovers Jaime seated on the Iron Throne.

That must mean something. So if Jaime does not want to please Cersei, why support her, when he could just seize the throne for himself?

Characters are different in the books. They cannot be mixed with their counterparts in the show. Their motivations especially can be widely different. Daenerys want to find her childhood's home and dislikes being a head of state in the books. Varys wants to put some ideal prince on the throne, Tyrion is all about revenge and killing his sister…

Show-Jaime has no ambition. He became a good fighter and that's about all he ever wanted to achieve. In his first scene, he said why he didn't want to be Hand of the King: "their days are too long and their lives too short". Jaime supports Cersei because he loves her and always wanted to live his life with her. He never had any interest in anything else. "Supper would be nice", too.

Cersei is getting more and more scary. I'm wondering if she will kill her own brother, Jamie, if it comes to it and it serves her purpose. Will be watching to see.

I don't believe she could do this. She would kill herself, though.

Highly unlikely. Cersei probably has a plan to to kill Jon and Danny.....
