Discuss Game of Thrones

Every decision he's ever made whether it be for himself or as Hand to Joffrey or Dany has always ended in serious negative consequences for all involved. Tyrion is the weakest link and character in the entire show. I'd rather that Tyrion go back to being the drunk dwarf sleeping with whites and passing out in the horses stall or pig troof. At least he was more interesting that way.

Sleeping with 'whites'?

Sorry. Autocorrect. I meant sleeping with whores.

He didn't save anyone. Tywin saved the day.

Well that makes sense.

So the " Wildfire" did nothing?

Did you not watch the episode? The wildfire destroyed the ships. But the toops did approach the gate. Tyrion suited up and went outside the gate to defend it. They were going to lose. A solider sliced his face and before he lost consciousness, he saw his father's troops approaching and fighting. So Tywin's troops actually saved King's Landing.

There was more than enough troops in the SB boats to storm kings landing before Tywin's troops arrived .WILD FIRE destroyed enough of these to make a desperate last charge work AFTER Tyrion's counter attack disrupted SB assault.

Timing is critical in battles/wars.

Except that's not what happened. Tywin troops are the one that stopped the opponents outside of the gate. In theory you have a point but in actuality, it isn't what happened.

Not exactly. Tyrion delayed Stannis's troops long enough till Tywin finally came with the Tyrell reinforcements. Without Tyrion, Tywin would have arrived too late.

Tyrion used to be smart...until George RR Martin left, and the new writers took the piss and began changing characters incoherently.

I never said Tyrion didn't do anything. All I said was that he failed at all his attempts. He was trying to defeat the army. The wildfire wasn't enough to stop the army.
