Someone explain this plan to me again... Confront an army of hundreds of thousands undead and hope to get away with one? All so you can present him to Cersei as proof they exist? All the while Cersei respectfully honors your request of putting the war on hold so you can accomplish this mission she obviously doesn't care for, just because you asked her nicely? And expecting she will not pull one on you while you are distracted on this mission? What??

Yeah......i know we have to suspend alot of disbelief on this show but "Hey lets go capture a Wight" is about as stupid a plan as it gets. Even if they assemble the new GoT Avengers squad to do it.

Yeah, better yet why not just send a dragon and hit them with fire from a distance. Of course Dany wouldn't want to risk a dragon but if the strategy was just to hit them with fire from a distance to help out Jon and company, that wouldn't be much to ask for the time being.

This is why I think GOT is a little overrated on IMDB and overall- because the writing can be extremely weak at various times and consistently. It's a good show, but it seems like the majority of fans evade criticism of it. It's not the GOAT with its weak writing at times. But it is really good.

And another thing... how was Jaime able to rescue Jaime with all that heavy amour on, sent simple physics dictate you sink to bottom? Maybe writer ovetlooked it but I am sure there are script supervisors and others whose job is to read script ovet and ensure simple logic is applied and overall storyline makes sense. So basically, not a single person on production team thought this was a little strange. Really lazy writing. They must be really tired of this how. I think they just desperately want to get done and go home. I get it though, it must be a grueling experience to make this show.

I agree. It's now become mostly a conventional war story. The lines are lines you would hear in mostly any war movie now, imo. Not all the time because they still do some peripheral character development, but as a whole.

But I think you hit the nail on the head with they are just getting lazy because it's really a grueling experience to make.

In some ways, I almost feel like they backed themselves into a corner at some point and are just making the best of the mistakes and scraps left, which is fine. But something just feels off with Dany's "moves" and strategies. I feel that right now, if the story went in coherence and in faith to its original path, Dany would have invaded King's Landing a looong time ago. And in that, she never would have even met up with Jon Snow the way she has. I feel the writers just had a plan and "needed" to get Jon Snow to meet Dany the way it turned out to set up their idea of the end game. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong, but i swear in a parallel universe right now in Westeros, Dany has already invaded King's Landing and killed Cersei and everyone else. That just feels more truthful. But oh well, I still like it.
