Never thought I'd feel so much satisfaction from watching the dragons burn Lannister soldiers (since it's like a fuck you Cersei), or just for Jamie to see how powerful the dragons are. Who pushed him to the water? Was it Bronn? Is Jamie dead, did he drown? Was expecting Bronn to die like a greedy storyline - choosing to collect all the gold then burn.

I think the episode was short than previous ones?

My guess is he and Bronn will be taken captive, Tyrion will aid them in an escape and maybe even join the Lannister side.

A part of me thinks you're right. I saw the look on Tyrion's face when he gazed upon the battlefield and saw the soldiers burning. Hand of the Queen or not, he's still a Lannister and those were soldiers loyal to their banner that got turned to ashes. I mean it was absolute carnage, I'm surprised they brought him along. I can almost see the angel and the demon sitting on his shoulders right now.

Oh my.... I wd be so upset if Tyrion joined team Cersei.

Tyrion will never be Cerci's side, so defecting is out of the question.

Logically, from a story telling standpoint, there's no way that Jamie is dead. Why would they go through the trouble of Bronn saving him just for him to be drowned a second later? Why not just let the dragon kill him, it would've been a nice exclamation point at the end of that battle.

Why did they have Grey Worm save Barristan Selmy only to have him die?

To make for a better scene? Jamie drowning isn't a better scene than Jamie burning to death by dragon fire.

You can believe he's dead all you want, you'll just be the one that looks silly at the end of the day.

Someone else wrote this decimated Cerci's army but I don't think so. She has the Iron Born and also Dorne.

Wait what..Cersei does not have Dorne. How do you figure that? Having Ellaria captive does not grant her access to their army.

Indeed that is an impossible scenario, I'm surprised the notion was even being discussed. I guess viewers have forgotten how deeply the hate is that Tyrion carries for Cersei and how pathetic they treated him before he escaped(not just recent sh!t, he was never respected in that family from the day he was born), Tyrion will take Jaime prisoner and possibly throw him a bone or two at best , but nothing that would be considered treasonous against Daeny, he's not a stupid man and knows eyes will be upon him regarding the Jamie prisoner angle.

That episode was an all out masterpiece save for the incredibly unrealistic survival of Jaime, time after time after time. It's like we get it, he can't die yet, but don't put him in imminent danger repeatedly. I doubt we will see any major character deaths until we get into the final season, but then again..........

No that's not what I meant. He wants to destroy Cersei no doubt, but do you really think Tyrion has sworn off all loyalty to the Lannister House? He has been a true friend for some time but it took sacrificing "his own" for her to trust him again. I believe he will betray her one way or another.

OH CRAP

I just read TV text for next weeks episode...some surprises and it doesn't look good for Jamie survival.

I also liked that scene when Tyrion was watching Jamie saying something like fly you fool - thought he was referring to Drogon or Dany as Jamie was ready to slay her. It's all just interesting after years of waiting to see all these characters together in a scene. I was rooting for Dany to win, not a fan but just to see her dragon in battle at Westeros (Essos was not so exciting for me) was cool. But also don't want Jamie (& Bron) to be dunzo.

It's interesting who we find ourselves rooting for. I was totally rooting for the Lannister's in this battle, something I'm not sure I had ever done before.

I agree he has been mistreated by everyone since birth. His father admitted to wanting to kill him rather than keep him! Cerci thought he was a demon! The only one who showed him any respect\kindness was Jamie. So he may be soft on his brother, but the rest of the family in his eyes can go to dragon flame as far as I can tell. And there are not many left! Just Cerci, Jamie, and him! That is it. The future generation has been killed off, dad is dead, and so... they are what is left. There is no sympathy or blood between Tyrion and the soldiers fighting under the Lannister flag so no care for them.

I found it neat that Dany found a way to retaliate without becoming what Jon Snow said she would by attacking King's Landing directly, just another tyrant. Though she faces a choice soon as Cerci will not surrender even when faced with overwhelming odds. Maybe that is where, should he be alive, Jamie will come in or Arya will and kill her. Jamie in charge will see reason and surrender (well he's already seen reason). But I see Dany making an offer of surrender to Cerci and she in turn refusing it. Without intervention, Dany has no choice but to attack King's Landing, or hold it prisoner till the food runs out and the people revolt - which could take forever. So dragons and ashes it will be unless, again, someone removes Cerci. Whomever succeeds her will surrender.

Yes Dany found a sound way of displaying a massive show of force without civilian casualties(more or less). She didn't quite agree with Jon, but she did take heed in his words by attacking the soldiers on the march away from the City. I would very much like to see Aria kill Cersei as Jaime, that would be extraordinarily pleasing to see.

The thrump of my fingers upon my table of glass echoes for blocks as I await the next epic episodic leak......, Ha, we all know that guy is now in one of BrBa's plastic barrels as his liquified remains wait to be dumped in the nearest 🕳sewer. A moment of silence for him😌💀 I'll call him Pedro.

I believe we will see the resolution to the whole Lannister's ruling Kings Landing tale this season. Next season will be the battle against the White Walkers with all remaining kingdoms coming together to stop them. Dany will take King's Landing and next season the only Lannisters will be the ones siding with her and Jon (who will via the three eyed raven realize they are related). My guess is Tyrion (unless he does something stupid) and Jamie (who will escape certain death by a only-in-the-movies kind of rescue cause even if someone dove in after him, lifting the weight in water of a man in armor is just not possible. Well okay, if a half dozen dove in after him then yeah. Another scenario could be if he s not unconscious he could have his armor rigged for such an event and he could get out of it quickly and swim to the surface.) will be the surviving Lannisters. Cerci will meet her end either from Arya or her own barons ala Julius Cesar as she refuses to surrender to Dany and they all want her to. Granted Big Frankenstein is there to protect her; but he\it is still one and can't be everywhere at once.

Maybe Drogon is nice enough to help pick Jaime up from the cold dark waters.

If Dany tells it to, realizing Jamie would be a powerful prisoner.

There's no way they would have Jamie go out like that, simply drowning. I think Bronn will pull off enough of his armor for both of them to swim to the surface, where they'll be captured. It looked on the preview like Dany was addressing the survivors of the Lannister army. Giving them a choice to either join her crusade or die. How you can trust soldiers you've conscripted by threatening their lives, I don't know. But I think Tyrion will be able to convince his queen to send Jamie back to King's Landing with a message for Cersei instead of killing him. If she won't go for it, he may indeed set his brother free - and hope Dany won't decide to feed him to her dragons.

You're right about Jamie. Not in TV land anyway. We must remember this season and part of last season is the shows writers not Martin as he has not released the next\final book. Maybe he's guiding them, I don't know, but for the most part this and next season is the work of TV writers. While Martin in his books may leave Jamie at the bottom of the river\lake, TV writers will not as he is a popular character. I said somewhere here that I think, in the end, the final Lannisters will be Tyrion and Jamie; and one to the right and one to the left left of Dany's throne. But who knows? Tyrion betraying Dany after what he saw is a distinct possibility in TV land even though he has never had any love for his family (aside from Jamie) or King's Landing (never his home). Season One showed him mostly drunk and whoring! Add to that the massive nuclear like destruction brought on by just one dragon should put the fear of Dany firmly in his heart.
