Never thought I'd feel so much satisfaction from watching the dragons burn Lannister soldiers (since it's like a fuck you Cersei), or just for Jamie to see how powerful the dragons are. Who pushed him to the water? Was it Bronn? Is Jamie dead, did he drown? Was expecting Bronn to die like a greedy storyline - choosing to collect all the gold then burn.

I think the episode was short than previous ones?

It's supposed to be the shortest episode this season (and the final episode will be the longest).

Bronn saved Jaime. When Bronn had to jump off the platform because of the dragon fire, he was still on the ground in the vicinity close by. He jumped at Jaime and knocked him off the horse into the water, saving him just before the fire got him.

I don't think Jaime is going to die. But it is interesting...Will he swim for cover? Or will Dany wait for him to come up and take him captive?

Agree, loved the dragon annhilating Cersei's army.

How heavy and restricting is that armor? Will Jamie be able to swim for cover?

I agree; I don't think he will die. I think he will be saved. Tyrion saw it go down. Perhaps he will insist on saving him because he will be a valuable prisoner knowing there is truth in that but also because he loves his brother and doesn't want him to die.

Logically, from a story telling standpoint, there's no way that Jamie is dead. Why would they go through the trouble of Bronn saving him just for him to be drowned a second later? Why not just let the dragon kill him, it would've been a nice exclamation point at the end of that battle.

If Jamie is in Danny hand they have a powerful weapon against the 'mother of madness'.

No Jamie will probably be the last one standing in GoT. He's a cockroach that everyone hates to love. I rather hope he gets captured and brought to Dragonstone. He has no place with Cersei anymore, he's just to smittened to realise it. With Tyrion he'll be safe when the storm hits.

My guess is he and Bronn will be taken captive, Tyrion will aid them in an escape and maybe even join the Lannister side.

A part of me thinks you're right. I saw the look on Tyrion's face when he gazed upon the battlefield and saw the soldiers burning. Hand of the Queen or not, he's still a Lannister and those were soldiers loyal to their banner that got turned to ashes. I mean it was absolute carnage, I'm surprised they brought him along. I can almost see the angel and the demon sitting on his shoulders right now.

Why did they have Grey Worm save Barristan Selmy only to have him die?

Can Jaime swim with just one hand while wearing that heavy armor?

But I highly doubt he's dead. It would leave too many unresolved issues. Everyone is expecting some kind of rife or showdown with Cersei and him.

My impression is that Dany's forces now have gold or at the least it was melted in the fire.

They stated the gold was already in Kings Landing's gates so it is safe... for now. The food supplies were what was destroyed; as well as a sizable number of soldiers.

Someone else wrote this decimated Cerci's army but I don't think so. She has the Iron Born and also Dorne. This was a big win for Dany but not a defeating blow. The fallout will more than likely be a very deep rumbling of abject fear due to the dragon (only one that I saw was in the battle; the one she rode). Knowing she has three of these will make soldiers reluctant at heart and more likely to flee during the next go round.

As for Tyrion... he never had any love for the soldiers; but did not want his brother to die hence the "Run away you fool" muttering.

And Jamie? Logically he would drown due to the weight of his armor (happened to many during the age of knights in armor which is one reason the Mongols nearly conquered all of Europe) but he is a "star" and doubt we'll lose him, this reason. Next maybe, but not this season.

I can't believe 3 more episodes left.

I also liked that scene when Tyrion was watching Jamie saying something like fly you fool - thought he was referring to Drogon or Dany as Jamie was ready to slay her. It's all just interesting after years of waiting to see all these characters together in a scene. I was rooting for Dany to win, not a fan but just to see her dragon in battle at Westeros (Essos was not so exciting for me) was cool. But also don't want Jamie (& Bron) to be dunzo.

If they become prisoners, I would be happy as I like Jamie more when he's with Tyrion and away from Cersei. And he can also learn about seriousness of the white walkers.

I just don't like the last scene, looks weird/funny the way he's going down.

I guess I'm a little confused. What was all this gold that was in this cart/wagon that Jamie opened up before the attack to pay Bronn here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bla0tbj8D4I

...OK, I noticed the scene where Randyll Tarly tells Jamie the gold made it to King's Landing. Maybe he means the bulk of it?

Not sure who you are referring, but I wrote that it was fun watching the dragon annihilate her army in that scene, which it did along with Dothraki. There was barely anyone one left at that battle. They destroyed them. .

There's a thought. Will that be Tyrion's undoing? His death ordered by Daenerys for betraying her. He has shown to be too smart for that but will emotion for his brother (maybe partial to Bronn also) cause a severe lapse in judgment? I don't think he would join the Lannister side but perhaps he would help Jamie escape or spare his life.
