Tywin always hated whores, maybe as a result of watching his sissy father being dominated by one. For years he put Tyrion down for his whoring.
If Tyrion found any other whore in Tywin's bed - that would just mean Tywin was a hypocrite. But of all the whores in KL, Tywin chose his hateful son's ex-lover. Why?

As a power move against his son. Made Tyrion out to be garbage for cavorting with the ladies of the night. Put him on trial and got Shae to even testify against him as the ultimate Eff You. Tyrion left Kings Landing like a boss. Strangled her and put down pops while he was taking a dump. Thug Life
