I've had time to sleep on the show since I just finished catching up on it after binge watching all 6 seasons.

As one person mentioned in a review, I think it was better when Danaerys was younger. Amelia Clark's performance was more inspired. It seemed like once she started paling around with people from King's Landing, her acting and story got brought down a peg. When she was roaming the cities with her advisors (Mormont) and during and shortly after her marriage to Khal Drogo were the best parts of the entire show.

She's still my favorite character, but I keep noticing that her earlier storylines and scenes were way better.

It's still a good show and I made it this far so I'm definitely still watching it and going to watch it, but after the first 2 episodes of Season 7, I came to this conclusion. By the way, how in the world is Theon still even alive at this point? Out of all characters who would realistically die in westeros, he's someone that would have been dead long ago.

The show has a ways to go to clean up a little bit of plot mess to be as good as the earlier seasons. I think the score at this point is overrated (a 9.5 on IMDB). The set pieces and production design are certainly out of this world and impeccable, but the overall story and plot has many weaknesses.

My average episode score is a 7.4 (72 episode average) and I even have a few 4s and 5s, and many 6s for episodes. Overall I gave the show an 8.3 so far. outside of the expensive production design, I don't think it comes close to being as good as Breaking Bad overall, except for about 4-5 episodes which are up there. It's not a 9.5. I think a 9.2 would be a better overall score for the show, but for me it's rounded to an 8.

The best parts of the whole show besides the 5-8 big shockers consistently were Danaerys flight/climb to the top. She was really inspirational and amazing in the earlier seasons and that was the only aspect I truly loved about the show most of the time.
