So wait, Dorne is ruled by floozys and bastards?

If I remember correctly Ellaria is introduced as Oberyn's "paramour" which is a euphemism for a floozy. The Sand Snakes are Oberyn's bastard daughters. So they kill the Prince and now they are in charge?

Yeah but they appear to be making the tactical decisions for the Dorne army. Maybe "in charge" is not the correct assessment but they should probably tell us who is calling the shots if not her.

Well I think she's the closest thing to the royal family so to speak and I'm guessing since the assassination of doran took place(which seemed to be an inside job since the other soldiers around didn't do much to stop it) ellaria has indeed been calling the shots. People love oberyn so I guess in a fantasy world it's not that hard to accept

People of Dorne: We loved Oberyn! I got an idea, let's make his whore our leader even though it is rumored she murdered the Martell matriarch.
But then again, for all we know, she probably spinned it to say it was Cersei who did it.
