I know she didn't love him or want him as a husband but he treated her decently and he did what he could to protect her. I assume one of Tyrion's roles now is going to be speaking on behalf of Daenerys Targaryen to the Houses of Westoros including the Starks. I think it's likely there's going to be a meeting between Tyrion, Jon and Sansa. I think Tyrion will try to convince Daenery's that Jon Stark or the North in general could be an ally.

Tyrion may offer a deal similar to what Renly Baratheon offered Catelyn Stark: The North would be largely left alone and Jon can be King of the North but would acknowledge that Daenerys is Queen of Westoros.
