A bit lost here... what or who are the Veil. Yes I know Little Finger brought them in to save Jon and his motley army but just where do they come from? No doubt this was mentioned some time along the shows run but I have forgotten. Thanks.

It's The Vale, and it's where Catlyn's sister Lysa lived with her son Robin. It has the moon door.
Remember LittleFinger married Lysa after bringing Sansa there, after Joffery's death, and he pushed Lysa out the moon door, so now Littlefinger is the Lord-Regent or whatever.

Yes I remeber that dramatic moment and what lead up to it very well. Just do not recall that being a kingdom with an army. Thought she was kind of a crazy lady in exile! Now I also recall her holding Tyron captive, threatening to toss him out the moon door, etc. Still did not associate her with any great power. Thanks for the spelling correction and the reminder.
She had a son as I recall. What happened to him or was his trip down the moon door inferred?

Her son is Robin Arryn. Littlefinger has influence over him, and I think he was sent off to learn to ride and fight or something. He's definitely still alive. Lysa's late husband (whose corpse we saw in the series premiere) was Lorn of the Vale and Ned and Robert were both his wards while younger (as well as during the time the rebellion started, in Lord Arryn refused to send Ned's and Robert's heads on a stake to the Mad King and instead called his banners to war).

Of course the real reason Littlefinger sent him away was so that he could take over the Vale without dealing with that little brat.
