What the hell is this crap? I know his name is "Sam," but did the George R R Martin really need to film a blood MONTAGE consisting of this Fat Bastard puking all over the library, cleaning toilets, and carving out dead bodies? WTF?

TBH, I had to skip over that part. You know, for the daughter's sake. This morning she said she had nightmares of a Great Fat Man with a long beard endlessly eating food, puking, and writhing on the floor of some decrepit Barnes and Noble bathroom in Detroit or some such Mickey Mouse bullsh-t. Kids!

The scenes with sam are the scenes that bored me the most during this episode. Whenever it kept going back to this storyline I would play on my phone until they were over.

His scenes may have been bored ng or gross to some or a lot of people but they were important to show him becoming a maester.

Monotony and disgust were the point - you were given a taste of Sams life. If you felt bored / sick / both for the 3 whole minutes it lasted then the director earned their money.

lol him cleaning out chamber pots consistently for 10 minutes is important to him becoming a maester? Will the feces come back as a character in a different storyline? There was literally zero point. It was probably the worst 10 minutes of the entire run of GoT.
