I suspect it has similar ratings in other countries, particularly since the US rating board is sometimes accused of going easy on Violence. (Interestingly, one problem they have had with production is that the child actors -- Arya, Sansa, Bran, Shireen, and Lyanna Mormont -- have to be sent off set when "adult" scenes are filmed. When recording commentary for the DVD set Maisee could be heard saying "My directions say to fast-forward through the next scene. I guess somebody's naked." Somebody was -- the Queen Margery actress )

We don't consider violence to be a bad thing per se. It's when it's violence for the sake of violence where we run into trouble with Aria.

Little Arya wants to emulated television Aria and that becomes a problem when one of this show's most popular princesses is turned into some kind of homicidal maniac. Aria is not Dexter. Hopefully she will be on the right path, figuratively and literally as she travels home to kill Sansa.
