First off - first post here, I migrated over from IMDb, although I changed my username. Anyway, having recently finished season 6, I seem to see a lot of discussion of the look exchanged between Sansa and Baelish when Jon was proclaimed King in the North. Many people seem to think Sansa is feeling tempted to betray Jon out of jealousy that it was he, and not her, that the Northerners rallied behind. I understand a lot of people dislike Sansa, but I could never see her betraying Jon. I interpreted that look as: Littlefinger as much as told her that he had an ultimate vision (himself on the Iron Throne with her as his Queen) and would do anything he had to to make that vision a reality. If Jon is proclaimed King in the North, that puts him in danger from Littlefinger, and I am reasonably sure that the look Sansa gave Petyr was alarm at the possibility of him killing Jon (who, let's face it, is not really built for dealing with sneaks like Littlefinger, as Ned wasn't). Am I missing something as to why so many people seem to feel Sansa has the capability to be that devious and evil as to turn on Jon so easily? Especially since it seems pretty clear that she has no interest in the Iron Throne or in returning to King's Landing? And she told Jon that he should have Ned and Catelyn's room, not her. As I see it, Sansa now has what she wants - she's the Lady of Winterfell. And while she has been at times vapid, annoying, naive, and frustrating throughout the show's run, she has never been evil or malicious. So I don't see her turning on Jon and I don't see some big character 180 coming up for her. I hope that to the contrary, this is the beginning of the end for Littlefinger. He's a great character but as hateful as any on the show. Basically the whole mess going on right now is his fault.

I thought it was a worried look, as you say, she is fearing for Jon's safety. It never crossed my mind that Sansa would team up with Littlefinger after what she has been through because of him. I hope and cannot wait till he is killed off.

I agree with everything you've written. And I think people are misinterpreting that non verbal exchange between Baelish and Sansa.

Sansa know that Jon has many threats but Littlefinger is the closest to him, he has seen him kill her aunt, abuse her nephew so she know he will do anything for the throne..Sansa does not wish to lead and she'd rather have her half brother (cousin) lead instead.

And Baelish wasn't clapping and praising Jon with the rest. He's jealous. I'm pretty sure that Baelish wants to be Jon in that moment. He will wait for the opportunity and then strike. The promo for season 7 should have had Littlefinger as a competitor for the Throne. I have no doubt that he would kill Cersei in a heatbeat.

Thanks for the replies! I think Littlefinger would kill ANYONE standing in the way of him sitting on the Iron Throne, and would do so without compunction or remorse. Sansa seems to be the only person alive that he has any genuine emotion for, and even that is mostly because she's Catelyn's daughter and reminds him of Cat. And I think that Sansa is not only well aware of that, but may very well be the one to finally bring Littlefinger down - especially if she finds out that he was the one who betrayed her father. That's my prediction, and I think she's going to do it using tactics that she learned from Littlefinger himself. "And the student shall surpass the master".

Predictions are that Sansa will die this season, good chance of her dying trying to save Jon, the actor playing Little finger is also now doing other projects, i expect both to "bite the dust" next season

Apparently, according to reported leaks she will probably not die, at least not in season 7 (I won't go into further detail as the info was thrust on me with no spoiler warning and I'm not thrilled about it). There's also speculation that, with GRRM having admittedly based ASOIAF on the War of the Roses, Sansa represents Elizabeth of York - the wife of Henry VII and mother of Henry VIII. If that's true, she's probably in it for the long haul. And I hope she is. As much as she annoyed and frustrated me in the first few seasons, I always felt Sansa had a good heart and wanted to like her more (if that makes sense). Now that I finally do it would really suck to see her die - although it would be worse if they turned her into a villain all of a sudden, as so many people seem convinced will happen. She also needs to outlive Littlefinger, even if she dies before the series ends. I'll be pissed if she doesn't.

I just wanted to point out that, after being contrasted so much over most of the seasons, both Sansa and Arya have ironically turned out similarly: both took gruesome, cold-blooded revenge against an enemy that deserved it. And Arya's "I'm Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I'm going home" is followed by SANSA's return home. The difference is that Sansa now seems permanently moody while Arya tends to bounce back from her dark moments.

I like Sansa because she's an honerable lady. Arya is a weird wildchild. Like how the way Arya allow herself to get caught up with The Many Faces God cult is beyond me.

Yes! My thoughts exactly! That was a look of worry for Jon. I do hope she will be the one to kill Littlefinger.

I like Arya, but I truly don't understand why she is quite so wildly popular. I'm rewatching the show from the beginning and honestly, if you were to ask me at the end of season one who my favorite of the Stark (and Snow) kids were I would actually probably have to say Bran (although these days I like both Jon and Sansa considerably more than I did at the start). Many people who dislike Sansa seem to think Arya is much tougher, but I actually think they're just tough in different ways. Sansa isn't a badass with a sword or dagger, but I also doubt that Arya would have survived had she been the one held captive by the Lannisters in King's Landing for 3 seasons. Arya is hotheaded and would likely have gotten herself killed. I really hope Arya and Sansa are reunited in S7, that would be awesome to see!

Like a couple others, I see Sansa turning on Littlefinger. She will be the one who does him in and I believe it will happen this season. She hasn't forgiven him for leaving her with the Boltons, and I think she's playing him. Littlefinger thinks he's manipulating her, but she's manipulating him because she knows he thinks she's still naïve.
