Discuss Game of Thrones

One thing I didn't like about having Cersei murder everyone is that it really ruins the dynamic for Daenerys big invasion. With Dorne and the Reach already on her side, this isn't going to be much of a battle. King's Landing depended on the Reach for their food. Daenerys can just sit on a throne on Oldtown and starve King's Landing in to submission.

I'd of liked to have seen Daenerys invade much earlier, when Joffrey, Tywin and Stannis were still around, maybe she could have failed but escaped, returning only now. Cersei does seem outnumbered at the moment.

It definetly would have been interesting to see them fight against stannis or tywin and then see her make a huge come back if she would've lost like the North did(even though they all almost died.)

Well she's already conquered the free cities, so it's not as if she hasn't already proven her worth.

Drogon roasting Cersei alive would be enough for me.

Yep...gotta see that one. They should film several versions of her death for the audience.

Cersei certainly does seem to be in a doomed strategic position, but I do wonder, though . . .

Does she still have Dragon's Fire? If she didn't expend it all against the High Sparrow and all his little sparrows, perhaps she will use it against Dani's invasion force. I still think Cersei would lose, but she'd inflict heavy damage on the invaders, and I'd almost bet money she'd take out at least one of Dani's dragons.

You think she could kill a fire-breathing dragon by burning it to death?

Angel_Angelus--

Possibly. I suppose, according to the rules of GOT, that one could make the argument that dragons are fireproof-- Dani, mother of dragons, is able to walk through fire unharmed --but it just seems like the green Dragon's Fire stored in the bowels of Kings' Landing is like the nuclear weapon of GOT. It is not only flame, but also has tremendous explosive capacity, apparently.

My original thought was a vision of flaming streams of the stuff being launched off the parapets of the castle as the dragons hovered nearby; one dragon would be engulfed in the green flames, screaming and burning as it went down, as Dani looked on in shocked horror, her eyes wet with tears, her lips trembling.

But who knows? Maybe such a method wouldn't work.

But I still think, one way or another, before GOT is over (either in this season or Season 8), one or more of Dani's dragons is going to be killed.

Thank you for your reply.

Everyone thinks a dragon will die (and most think the WW will make it a Wight).

Dragons are the real nuclear weapons.

Fuck, Cersei's gonna be the last one standing isn't she?

Come through Jaime!

Uh...no way in hell that is happening.

"and Jaime kills her........ by stabbing her through the heart with Ice. "

I think they'll be a "Gotterdammerung" scene like the fall of Berlin -- Cersei will commit a disastrous mistake that dooms the city, Jaime kills her, and then Jamie commits suicide because of his love/hate entanglement with her.
