It's a tossup between The Hound and Arya for me.

LoL on the ignore feature!

Ignoring reality is not a sign of wisdom. Did I tell the truth about your hero? I'm not sorry about it. You're welcome to leave if you can't take it, though.

Oh yes, he did want a little chaos. I'm pretty sure he wanted to push Ned down the ladder to take his place, but he never wanted war and Ned was the one who got it started by sharing his suspicions with Stannis and calling the King illegitimate in the throne room. Both sat down together and discussed it. Ned chose war, not Littlefinger. Here: https://youtu.be/H2sTq_uBoLs?t=88

Keep believing the that Littlefinger didn't want the war. A war within the realm was his only way to make that ever important climb to the top. Varys was the one who didn't want a war in the realm.

I think Littlefinger wanted to become Hand of the King and he needed no war for this. besides, he did a lot to avoid war or to end it. When he had Jon Arryn killed, it was in agreement with Varys and Pycelle, who both knew everything and already wanted to prevent what Ned Stark later caused. Later, all three worked together with Cersei to convince Ned to accept the King's mercy in exchange for a falseconfession and the safety of his daughters. Joffrey threw it all away but none of them expected it to happen. Later still, Littlefinger went to offer treason to Renly in order to avoid siege and battle. Finally, he brokered the Tyrell alliance which saved the Crown. Littlefinger never wanted this war.

Ned Stark, on the other hand, was a man of war. That was his answer to Robert about the Dothraki already: "let them come, we'll throw them back in the sea". Ned valued neither his own life not that of others. He was not afraid of war.

Littlefinger wants to be the King, not the Hand of the King. There is no evidence that Varys and Pycelle was in on the Jon Arryn killing. He knew what Joffrey's nature was like and I'm sure expected him to go overboard at some point. When he realized that Joffrey couldn't be controlled, he worked with the Tyrell's, specifically Oleanna, to have him killed. You are right about him not being a man of war, but he knew war would help him reach his final goal of the Iron Throne.

We can argue and debate all day....Opinions are like a**holes, everybody has one. :-)

Littlefinger wants everything, one step at a time and whatever he can get. The moment Ned Stark set foot in the capital, he started thinking about making Cat'available to him again. If he could push Ned to get himself killed like he did with his older brother Brandon before, all the better, but that didn't work out. When he offered to help him rule in Joffrey's name, he was positioning himself to step up at some point. Who knows what he was hoping for when he had Jon Arryn killed? Maybe Cersei was in on it and tried to influence Robert into choosing another hand, we'll never know.

In any case, there are very clear indications of Varys' and Pycelle's involvement. Varys knew too much and told Ned too little to be trusted. He knew the poison and the motive but not the poisoner? Come on. As to Pycelle, he admitted to Tyrion in Season 2 he knew Jon Arryn was poisoned and let him die to serve the Lannisters. I say all three planned it together. Pycelle had the poison, Varys the information and Littlefinger access to the murderous wife to do the deed. I do not think Cersei was informed but I cannot bring arguments for or against it.

Littlefinger is a man of schemes and arrangements. He didn't have an army. A war is a situation in which he has less control over things than his adversaries. Why should he want one?

And what good is a discussion forum if we don't argue and debate on it? Should I post pictures of my loved ones instead? Here: http://i.imgur.com/IhmA8jO.jpg

Awww that's cute. You think you'll run me off with your nonsense? Yeah...I've dealt with worse than you. But feel free to carry one with your lack of reality...I'll just skip over your posts. I remember them on IMDB...and I did the same thing there.

So does anyone want to discuss the reality of the show's storylines?

It's one thing to debate, but you try to pass your opinion off as fact.

I do, I do!

I would say its Drogo, Daenerys biggest Dragon. He had himself a nice barbecue at the fighting tournament

That's a good one. I'm sure Drogon will cause many more deaths in the final 2 seasons/books.

It's "Drogon". Watch out for Black Lizard Down next summer ;-) https://twitter.com/Leo_ofRedKeep/status/809320451054927873

I would go a completely different direction and say the Night King. I think he has been the cause of the most deaths. skull

Some really great answers here! Drogon & Night King in particular!
