Extra Details: Someone has split S01E04 Montendo/Lifedeath (1) into two episodes across S01E04/E05. This aired as one episode and needs combining again.
How can it be literally every other legit source, IMDb, thetvdb and even Disney+ can list the episode correctly but the stubborn moderators on here want to be different and create unnecessary confusion. You know it is one episode, there is no reason to split it. By continuing this stubbornness, you are making me lose faith in this site. It’s time places like trakt go back to thetvdb. At least they can list the episodes correctly. Also, the mods on here really need to lose their privileges and time for some new people who at least have an ounce of common sense.
Whoever has made episode 4 into two separate episodes, please correct this. This split has resulted in incorrect metadata fetch on Home Media Servers like Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, etc.
Please follow the way Disney is releasing these episodes.
In all the years I've used TMDB and contributed (although not much recently) to it, this is the first obvious mistake I've seen for splitting an episode. Jumped in to see if I could re-combine these 2 parts and found this discussion.
This episode isn't like SpongeBob or Adventure Time with 2 identical-length stories that happen to air as a pair but could easily be split up and aired with other episodes. "Lifedeath pt 1" is a shorter tale within episode 4, crafted intentionally to fill the episode's intended runtime. At least, that's how it's presented (quite clearly, imo). The fact that TMDB currently conflicts with both IMDb and TheTVDB also indicates this split-episode decision goes against consensus.
Is there any possible way to dispute this? Or is it simply the decision of a few mods who are choosing which of the site’s rules they want to follow and that’s it.

Unfortunately it looks like in this case it’s more a dictatorship than a democracy.
This was discussed internally and the result was that Motendo and Lifedeath (1) should be merged.
Thanks for this. It is very much appreciated.
I know it got quite heated in here at a few points, but I feel that just shows how passionately the community is. Especially when it effects other sites i.e. Trakt, Plex, Emby, Jellyfin etc.
Will there be a change to the wording of the rule to avoid this sort of issue in the future?
Hooray! Thank you for seeing sense. But yes the discussions here are just people (myself) included being passionate about having things correct. While I totally understand the reason to split episodes of other animated kids shows, X-Men 97 I personally believe should be seen differently. Thanks again.
Yes, thank you very much for correcting it! And I agree with homealonedude, the rule should be changed so that it doesn't happen again unfortunately... (I already see Urusei
Yatsura which makes no sense either...)

Just watched myself. Common "children's cartoon" themes. Mods can't deny this animated show does not follow the fall under the banner they have it as.

It's not possible not to see the problem... All the discussions are on the same idea. Please correct your error. You are truly unbearable...
It's okay to make a mistake, but you have to recognize it.

This is great for a BDD that wants to be community-based. 🤡
