One question: Did you add the overviews from ARD? That's not allowed so I deleted them, in fact they are much too long also, the whole series looks terrible damaged but I cannot manage this now, there are over 2000 episodes up to now but there is no site where you can find all of them

1) If the overview is too long, why is there no character limit in place ? And why should this be a problem anyway - no one is forced to read it, and I doubt that there is a system out there showing this information without cutting it if necessary, if it is too long, so no layout will break ? And at least something is there - as there is no reason to believe someone will be writing shorter overviews, just so it looks better on some film/series - data plattform. 2) Why is it a problem to take it from the public funded original source, if the source is mentioned ? 3) Why is the series damaged all of a sudden ? At least now things get partial form and adding at least the recent episodes should be an improvment, right ? There will probably be never a complete list available and that does not matter much, as they probably will never reappear anyway > there is no reason to believe they will start releasing episodes from the 70s and 80s again, especially with a good chance that they don't even exist anymore.

1. this is for movies and I have a hard time adapting that for a tv kids show consisting of 3-5 short films (either explaining every day life or some cartoon) glued together by short animations with usually no overarching theme connecting them.
2. Yes I know that, but even in Germany (as in most countries that have a strict copyright law) there is a fair use policy. Can you give me a link to an official thread were this is disccused here - there must be something, if its that of a big deal? It appears rather strange to me as there is fernsehserien.de which has no problem using these texts for several years now without getting sued, altough they even monetize it by showing ads on their site, and the server were its hosted is even located in Germany, so taking legal action would be rather easy. And there is no info about even a claim from those tv stations gainst that site anywhere, of which there should be at least a news entry on their site or in their forums with such a pressing matter . A more similiar example would be thetvdb.com, which also uses those copyrighted texts without problems at least since I discovered them, three years ago, without any problems and their server is located in the U.S.A, just like themoviedb.orgs. So why they did not get such letters ?

1. there are the same rules for the overviews for tv shows, short to the point and without spoilers, 2, no Germany has no fair use policy, Google will help you out if you don't trust me, fernsehserien.de is a media trust hosting several sites and getting the permission how they did you have to ask them there, that's their business and has nothing to do with this site ( if you read their impressum you can see they don't want to have their texts on other sites), and it's not important what other sites are doing because every site has to follow the rules when some sites don't do this it's not the problem here and yes there was a discussion about it but in the private forum of the moderators 4. 1) stating the obvious does help out in what kind of way again? 2) Yes and no, while Germany does not have the "fair use policy" that is applicable in USoA courts there is a whole bunch of regulations that can be seen as that: quotation right/regulations for example (which is not applicable here) and I am quite interested on what basis all the movie posters/stills/portraits that are shown here are legal, if not on a basis of "fair use" which is granted by the copyright holders as they usually see this as advertisement for their product - which basically summaries for books/movies/tvshows are too (and its legally debateable as the "threshold of originality" is a very vague legal term). I mentioned other sites not in sense like "if others do wrong you can do too" but to underline my suspicion that the legal claim from those tv stations would probaly not whitstand a closer inspection. So whats left to say: a) maybe it would have been a good idea to formulate the abstract of that private discussion in an official blog post. b) Just starting to delete stuff others contributed (independet of it beeing 'right' or 'wrong') isn't the best way to address such a situation- maybe give those the benefit of doubt and the chance to undo their mistakes themselves ? Like "hey great you are contributing to our site, but unfortunately you violated some of our rules. So I have to kindly ask you to either correct this in the next 48h , or I am afraid, I have to delete that in order to make sure that this site does not get into legal trouble". Your approach may upset people like me (and it did, somewhat). c) don't use the term damaged if nobody actually did considerable damage, it suggest a harmful intention. d) yes please delete all images , so it is ensured that there is no copyright issue here as I used stills for episodes directly from the copyright holders websites (mostly ARD,ZDF,KiKA)
