Zombie Hotel is an animated children's program about a hotel run by zombies, produced by French production company Alphanim and shown internationally. The main characters are Fungus and Maggot, two child zombies who pretend to be human to get into their local school, and their family and boarders at the hotel run by their parents. They make friends with Sam, a human boy whose mother is away most of the time. Sam soon finds out about their zombie powers and all three make a team of friends. Sam uses an old railway carriage as his haunt. The plot often involves a risk of the discovery of Maggot and Fungus' zombie nature and the three trying to prevent this. The hotel itself is one of several main locations used in the show. Others include the school and Sam's railway carriage.

Die Zwillinge Maggot und Fungus leben in einem etwas abseits gelegenen Hotel auf dem Berg vor der Stadt, das ihre Eltern betreiben. Soweit klingt alles noch normal. Doch das ist es beim besten Willen nicht. Die Familienmitglieder sind allesamt Zombies, dem Empfangschef kommen dauernd Arme und Beine abhanden, der Koch ist ein Vampir und dessen Gehilfe trägt seinen Kopf unter dem Arm spazieren. Ungewöhnlich sind auch die Dauergäste im Grufthotel Grabesruh: ein ehemaliger Oberst mit Schrumpfkopf und schmalem Verstand sowie ein ständig quengelnder Geist.

Für Maggot und Fungus ist das alles schon normal. Schwierig wird es für sie erst, als ihre Eltern auf die Idee kommen, ihre beiden Lieblinge in der Menschenschule unten in der Stadt anzumelden. Denn auf keinen Fall dürfen die anderen Kinder herausfinden, dass sie Zombies sind. Doch schon am ersten Schultag erfährt ihr Mitschüler Sam von Maggots und Fungus’ Geheimnis.

Fungus y Maggot son los hijos de los dueños de un hotel, y los mejores amigos de Sam, lo que no sería etraño de no ser proque tanto ellos como su familia son zombies, y Sam es el único que lo sabe.
