I think it's now pretty clear that season 17 should be deleted and season 18 moved down a number.

HBO itself says that the 2022 edition with the Lions is their 17th season.

Season 17 is a duplicate of Hard Knocks in Season, which has it's own separate show already set up. Here is the screenshot from HBO website that shows Hard Knocks in Season is Season 1 of that show. It does not below as season 17 of Hard Knocks.

Hello, I'm sorry, but this doesn't make any sense to split them out. Hard Knocks is Hard Knocks; now they have regular Hard Knocks, Off Season, and In Season seasons and fetching this metadata has become a huge pain and mismatching of seasons. Can we please combine all of Hard Knocks? It's becoming very confusing:

I support the idea of @cstock to just merge all seasons like it is portrayed on Wikipedia. It makes it way more coherent as a series.
