This early episode in the series was directed by Lee "roll 'em" Sholem, who was legendary for bringing episodes in on time and within budget. In the scene where the thug slugs Lois Lane (Phyllis Coates) in the jaw, the actor who hit Coates accidentally knocked her out. Sholem personally revived her and quickly finished shooting the scene so that he'd finish before her face swelled up.
