This is one of my all-time fave UK detective/crime series, not only because it was well-done and a class act, but because the starring duo was such a good fit with one another. I always have especially enjoyed Sharon Small in this, who seemed born to play Sgt. Havers.

Back when this series originally was broadcast, I watched each season, and all, or nearly all, episodes thereof. One of my PBS stations has been rerunning Seasons 4 and 5 during recent months. I've enjoyed catching a few of the episodes.
