So Nicholas leaves his son at home when going to Milan?

The kid is off from school for holiday vacation yet when his father goes to Milan, he is left with Nicholas's former wife?
Ever hear that such a trip can be perfect bonding time for father and son? Not to mention it would give Christian perfect bonding time with his step-relative Harrison? Since they'll later in the future be adults together?
Just more ways to shove Christian to the side like he doesn't matter.

In all seriousness, Nick was gone to Milan for all of one or two days? What was the point of such a short vacation a significant distance away?
