Big Sky 토론

I continue to weekly watch this series, but keep finding myself nowhere near as interested in S2 as I was in S1, that was far more something-different, edgy/unexpected, and compelling. Is it just me who feels this way?

So far I remain onboard and sufficiently entertained, but this season have at no point felt riveted (which I was last season), nor much caring if I miss an episode here and there. In fact, although a new episode is airing right now, I'm not watching it (though probably will catch it sometime in the coming days).

I agree....Season 2 is going off the rails. The twin twist was just too much of a stretch...and that silly teenager drug stealing is just nuts.

I absolutely hate about Rick Legarski's twin, and think he and his story line have dragged things down. Meanwhile, Ronald and Scarlet were two of the most fascinating characters of Season 1. In Season 2, they're being thoroughly wasted.

I must say that since I created this thread, Season 2 seriously picked up steam and became good; the last 4 or so episodes have been compelling and exciting, and definitely lots has been happening.

Having said that, I still absolutely hate the storyline involving Rick Legarski's twin: It (and specifically the actor in question, as the pony-tailed, snaggletoothed, gratingly folksy twin) continues to feel forced and absolutely artificial. However, if disregarding that tedious character's involvements, everything else has been riveting, and seeming quite on-point.

I'm glad the Ronald Pergman and Scarlet characters finally have been having opportunity to actually do other than monotonously be prisoners of the Legarski twin. Since each first appeared last season, they've been my favourite characters on the show. And the more devious and in the thick of things each gets opportunities to be, all the better for the individual episodes and the series, as those two characters are for sure at their best the badder and/or more twisted they're able to be!

I like the actor (Jesse James Keitel) who plays Jerrie. Interesting character, and good, sensitive performance. Keitel never over-plays the role.

A newly-introduced character this season, Ren, as the sassy dark-haired woman who locally is heading one faction of the drug cartel, has been quite the scenes-stealer, and has been interesting and enjoyable to watch. The actress (Janina Gavankar) playing the part has been doing a very good job in the role, and I'm hoping she'll (Ren) perhaps survive the season, to carry over into Season 3.

A character who I'm lately very confused by is Tonya (portrayed by actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler), who until recently was held captive and seeming very much a victim, yet now is Ren's secretary or whatever. Apparently I fell asleep during part of one of the episodes of the last 3-4 weeks, and totally missed seeing and learning why she 100% flipped; it's been making no sense to me, whatsoever, why she's now firmly got her allegiances with Ren.
