The Movie Database Support

Hello.

I have a practical question. I wish to upload backdrops for a gore movie (short). The contribution bible does state to avoid "extreme gore," and while that definition is not entirely clear, it is durable. However, both characters in the movie are naked from the beginning and the contribution bible also state, that nudity is only allowed for movies tagged as adult, which itself is intended for pornographic movies. This is not a adult movie, so that tag would not be appropriate.

So this is a gore movie where the characters are naked, and since it's a short, there really only is one scene. All screenshots that shows something of what is happening involves gore and nudity to some degree (blood, breasts, cannibalism etc). Is it acceptable to upload screenshots that has light core and light nudity given the nature of the movie?

I assume you mean these backdrops:

Of course, this is subjective - just use common sense.
TMDb should be a place for all users to enjoy - avoid backdrops that might harm other users.

Let's say:
Don't upload backdrops that you wouldn't want to show your mother on a sunday before church.
Or your boyfriend/girlfriend before you propose to him/her.
Or you boss before a conference meeting.

However, both characters in the movie are naked from the beginning and the contribution bible also state, that nudity is only allowed for movies tagged as adult, which itself is intended for pornographic movies. This is not a adult movie, so that tag would not be appropriate.

So then you should only upload backdrops without nudity.

I just removed this one (too much nudity):

And I just removed this one (nudity is borderline, but quality isn't very good):

No nudity means no nudity.

Light gore is alright, in my opinion.
I think the other 3 images can be kept.

Also - in general - if you can't find any appropriate backdrop for a specific movie at all - that's fine.
Not all movies on TMDb need a backdrop image!
