The Movie Database Support

I just had a feature request from a user which I think makes a lot of sense:

In search results I’d like to see the range of years for a show rather than the month and year of the first episode, e.g Friends shows “September 1994” but I’d like to see “1994 - 2004”.

I started poking about, and it seems like /search/multi doesn't contain anything like that for TV — in fact, it doesn't even indicate if the show is continuing/ended/etc.

So, my request is twofold:

  1. At a bare minimum, could we get a last_air_date in /search/multi, for ended shows?
  2. For bonus points, perhaps have both a status as well as a last_air_date? This would theoretically make it possible to see the most recently aired episode for currently-running series, and the finale for ended series.

Thanks!

-Casey

(PS: Still on cloud nine about this; thank you thank you thank you! 🥹)
