If an official YouTube channel releases a recap video of season 1 of a TV show, shouldnt that video be added to season 2? This is because the purpose of that video is to remind viewers what they watched back in season 1 to remind them of the story before starting to watch season 2. Usually these recap videos are released just before (a few days, weeks or months) the following season airs? However, I can understand the counterargument that its still labelled season 1 and has footage of season 1, so I can see the argument against what Im saying.
Which way is it supposed to be? I dont read anything in the https://www.themoviedb.org/bible about it.
Here are some examples/relevant reports:

If I'm not mistaken, we debated this before and full season recaps are added to the next season. Like you said, a Season 1 recap is going to be released with Season 2 promotional material and will likely be watched right before viewers start watching the second season. So it makes sense to add it to Season 2.
If we're talking about sequel/revival TV shows, then a recap of the original show released during the promotion of the new TV show can be added to the entry of the new TV show.

Cool. Would it be a good idea to have this in the rules?

So are episode recaps also supposed to be added to the next episode, i.e. a recap of episode 7 is added to episode 8, and a recap of a finale episode is added to the premiere episode of the next season, just like with season recaps or are they treated differently?
Are multiple recaps that are released for an upcoming season supposed to be added to the same season or to different seasons? For example, Apple TV released both a season 2 recap video and a season 3 recap video as promotional material for season 4.

imo they should be.
imo a season 2 recap video, even if released as promotional material for season 4, should still be added to season 3.

That will cause trouble when adding a season finale episode recap when no new season premiere has been announced, the series hasn't been renewed, or the series was canceled; there's nowhere to add the recap.
If the recaps are all promotional material for the same upcoming season, shouldn't they then be added to the same season they're promoting? What makes one video eligible but the other ineligible?
Also, as rare as they might be, where are recaps of single-season TV shows added? The Society was canceled after a single season but a "cast recaps" video was released shortly after the first season ended.

I also argued this point initially. But, like you said, they are pretty rare. I've just resigned myself to not adding the very few recaps that were done before a show was cancelled.

I don't see why you can't add a clear and logical exception to the rule; if the appropriate season/episode doesn't exist for a recap video (because of things like a series was canceled) then the video should be added to the season/episode it is recapping. (I guess the downside is unmight be creating spoilers).
Imo it makes a lot more sense for a season/episode recap to be added the episode/season subsequent the content its recapping- but it still makes sense to add it the the content it is recapping. If avaiable it should be added to the subsequent episode/season. But if the former is not available then it still makes some sense to add it to the latter.

Mmm I guess my idea that a recap video should be for the next episode/next season after the episode/season it is recapping is primarily based on the idea of what a recap video is (an episode 10 recap, recaps what happened in the previous episode prior to episode 11, therefore belongs in episode 11- a season 3 recap, recaps what happened in the season prior to season 4, and therefore belongs in season 4), rather than when it is released/what it was used to promo. But maybe someone else would say when it is released (what it was used to promote) is more important than what episode/season it is recapping (I can see that especially if theres content inside the video pertaining to promoting an episode/season that is not the subsequent one). Imo its more important, more logical, and clearer to just add it based on what episode/season it is recapping.
So for example, if you are about to watch season 3 of a tv show, it makes sense that any/all season recaps of season 2 be found in the videos section of season 3 so that you can consume content that recaps season 2 (regardless of whether or not those videos were released to promote season 3 or not/another season).
