Additional fields in the response?

The default response contains 14 fields. How do I get more fields in this response, such as my query params (ex: region or certification)?
EDIT: I tried using the append_to_response feature, but after some searching, I discovered that it can't be used with the Discover Request.
Does this mean I can't add more fields (credits, alternative languages) to my responses?

Do you know if append_to_response can be used with /search requests? Am I wasting my time?

Does not work with Search.
Only with the Details method, using the Movie, TV Show or Person item ID.
