Good evening all,
I'm wondering if I could get some advise please? I use the Justwatch providers throught the TmDb API. I'm wondering if it's possible to show the HD tab, instead of the free tab? Because using the free tab, it only provides some providers, for example: A movie in theatres, doesn't show in the 'Free' tab it shows as not available yet. Wheras if you click the HD tab on TmDb or Justwatch it shows Vue cinema icon, or other cinema platforms. The HD tab on Justwatch has a much more accurate description of what's available to stream on platforms. Movies and Series available on Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Disney and so on, don't show under the free tab, as the HD shows subscriptions.
So we're wondering how we change the API on the site to show HD by default, instead of Free. So then it shows which watch providers they're available to stream on with a subscription.
I hope that makes sense, I'm not the best at describing things. But we really want the HD tab to show on the justwatch providers instead of Free. So it shows a more correct list of providers like on TmDb and Justwatch.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @insomniacs-party,
If you're using the
/watch/providers
endpoint, you can default the view to any one of the available types (flatrate
,buy
andrent
). How you display the availabilities is 100% in your control. If however, you're talking about the /watch pages here on TMDB, unfortunately no, there is no way to override the default selected tab. "Best Price" is always selected, with "Stream" as the primary choice.

Thanks for getting back to me Travis, I really appreciate it. At the moment we've got the flatrate one set up at the moment. But for some reason series like Cobra Kai, which show Netflix on TmDb and Justwatch are not returning Netflix on the listing. I thought maybe it's because it maybe populates weekly.
Which one would you suggest us using on the JustWatch? Keep it on flatrate or add another alongside it?
Again, thanks for getting back to me I do really appreciate it.

Ok, so ya we're not importing anything for that ID (77169).
Usually this happens when there's a bad match on the JustWatch side. The way our import works is that we process a daily file of availabilities from them. In that file, JustWatch provides a match to TMDB ID's, and that's what we use to attach their data to ours.
The problem is that sometimes their matched ID's are missing or incorrect. Unfortunately there's nothing we have in place to deal with such situations. This is why TMDB doesn't have any watch data for Cobra Kai, as you can see here.

I might get the developer to get it to show Buy option. Because using the flatrate isn't showing some of the networks available to stream. In around every 10 series added, 3/4 show nothing because it's set to the flat rate which I'm assuming is the same as the 'Free' tab on Justwatch tabs. I may be wrong though. Will try the Buy option and see what different that makes.
Thanks again Travis I'm extremely grateful.

On TmDb where it shows Netflix, and Youtube Premium watch providers, and 'The Rig' ID: 112581 shows watch provider for Amazon Prime on TmDb, but on our site says not available. I'm trying to get it as accurately to TmDb as possible, because I think I've done something wrong with using flatrate or Buy/Rent.
So I think if we maybe switch to the buy option it would probably show for the series that's currently showing nothing. Can more than one be shown? For example: can we use flatrate and buy watch providers?
