Hi, all
I'm updating (extending, refining) my years old script and VB.Net program to update my MediaMonkey database. Actually I'm struggling a bit with the "screenplay" information within the TMDB "crew" response.
For example with IMDB ID tt4046784 I found a credits.crew(x).job "Screenplay" (T. S. Nowlin) and a job "Novel" (James Dashner) which I updated into my database at once.
But I see another movie where these jobs are not found. You might have a look at IMDB ID tt9419884. According to IMDB the names "Michael Waldron", "Stan Lee" and "Steve Ditko" get the "writing" credits. In the TMDB response I can find Michael as (dep., job) "writing, writer", Stan as "writing, characters" and Steve as "writing, characters", too. None of them have the "screenplay" or "novel" job, All of them seem to be in the department "writing", though.
Would it be correct to fetch all entries with "writing" as the department to get a similar output like the IMDB one? How would I then differentiate between screenplay and novel? I'd just like to have the information on whose novel the movie is based on.
Michael
