I assumed that movies in a list (watchlist, favorites, possibly any list?) get excluded from user recommendations. Is that that case?
Because as I see it for my own account, there are movies that are already in my watchlist, that get recommended to me. Is that perhaps because my watchlist contains 300 movies? Is there a limit to how many movies are taken into account when calculating the recommendations?

Your watchlist doesn't have anything to do with the recommendations. The only data used is your watched data, ie. your ratings.

OK, but I would like to argue that my favorite list also qualifies as a rating? It just doesn't make any sense for me to get movies recommended I already marked as favorite (because I've seen them at least once and really enjoyed them)

@travisbell How long does it take, until the recommendations take into account new ratings? Because it seems to take more than just a few hours...
