Hello team,

I am currently developing an application, which will assist the user in choosing a movie over multiple streaming platforms. Therefore I am looking for an API that can consistently deliver available movies. I found TMDB as a valuable source. I am planning to activate ads as form of income. My question here is: Do I need a commercial key for that or would it be enough if I mention TMDB as my source for the movies and all?

When I created my API Key I chose between these options:

Developer

You are an individual
Your project is still in development
Your project is non profit
Your project is ad supported

Professional

You represent a company
Your project is for profit (not ad supported)
You are an OEM or hardware vendor

I believe your case fits Your project is ad supported.
So just follow the rules for informing the data source.
