The Movie Database Support

When attempting to access the TMDB website using the Jio network, users encounter persistent issues preventing successful loading or navigation of the site. These problems may manifest as slow loading times, frequent timeouts, incomplete page rendering, or outright failure to access the site altogether.

This issue significantly disrupts users' ability to utilize the TMDB platform effectively, hampering their ability to browse movie and TV show information, access reviews, or contribute content to the community. Given the widespread use of Jio network services and the popularity of TMDB among movie enthusiasts, these technical difficulties pose a significant inconvenience to a large number of users.

Hi @Dwivedia988,

Unfortunately the Indian government has blocked TMDB in India. There was another thread about this that you can read here: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/65d4b89ce640d6017dececac

I have raised a complaint with JiFiber about the same and have been following it past 2 months, since this block is not from indian government but from Jio Fiber itself, They will unblock it soon

Hey by any chance did you find any updates / work arround for this

For Jio users, using DNS 1.1.1.1 may resolve connectivity issues.

Contact deepghuge@gmail.com for inquiries.

@Ishaan_gada Nope, After complaining several times and waiting 3 months I disconnected my jiofiber connection and switched to local cable operator isp as i cannot live without tmdb

If TMDB isn't working in your region, here’s a simple fix to bypass censorship:

  1. Enable Secure DNS in your browser (Chrome/Firefox) and select Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) as the provider.
  2. Install this userscript I made — it helps load broken or missing TMDB images.

If you're accessing the TMDB API outside the browser (e.g., in scripts or third-party apps), make sure to change your IPv4 and IPv6 DNS settings system-wide to Cloudflare. You can follow Cloudflare’s official setup guide for Windows.

In rare cases where the site or API is still blocked, try using tools like Cloudflare WARP or GoodbyeDPI.
