Hello! I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and discuss an inquiry regarding the usage of your API for my iOS mobile app.
Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for providing such a valuable API resource. My app, which has been available on the App Store for approximately one year, utilizes your API to enhance its functionality. To demonstrate my respect for your platform, I have prominently displayed the TMDB logo and notice within my app.
Recently, I plan to add VIP features for my users. These features, however, are unrelated to your API and mainly consist of advanced video player functionalities. I'm wondering if this additional feature would necessitate the use of a commercial API. I kindly request your guidance and clarification on whether I should proceed with obtaining a commercial API for this purpose.

Hi @OttoMiller,
Short answer, no, it does not necessitate a commercial license. Later this year we'll be introducing a new offering designed for apps like yours. We'll be sending out an email with lots of advance notice.
In the meantime, just make sure you're attributing TMDB as the source of whatever data and/or images you use.
Thanks!

Hi @travisbell,
Is this still accurate? Basically if the app is free for all users, with an optional premium option for features that are not related to TMDb APIs/content, does that still fall under not needing a commercial license?
