How to query the configuration API?

How do I query the configuration API for a specific movie, in order to get all the possible image sizes of a specific movie? From the documentation it just gives me the general image sizes. I am a bit confused on how the configuration API works. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.

The configuration API is a general query. It is not for a specific movie. Its goal is to return the general image sizes that you can use to get images.
