Well, you can search for your movie title using Search.
Filtering by years will give you a more accurate answer.
Once you find the movie, there will be the TMDb ID of your movie.
For example:
Barry Lyndon (1975)
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/3175-barry-lyndon

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=THE_KEY&query=Barry+Lyndon&include_adult=false&language=en-US&primary_release_year=1975&page=1

In the response we have the TMDb ID 3175
