A show that doesn't have any season is a show in which the episodes data are unknown or have never been entered by the users. So, for these shows, you will get no season data.

All other shows have at least one season that you can get via the API.

I understand what you are saying but my use case if about knowing if a show is like one piece style (with only episode list) or like stranger things like (with season and episode number). I don't have any issue for using the API in both case, even if with one piece I have to set the season 1.

In fact, its more related to the file itself, for example:

• one piece style : "one piece 343.mkv or one piece E343.mkv"
• stranger things style : "stranger things S02E01.mkv"

I just want to "set" a file for one the style above and I was just wondering if I can get this information from the API.

For our database, there are no differences between the 2 cases. So, the API can't say anything about it.

To be sure that your file will work in any cases, it should always include the season number, even if it is S01 for all the episodes. The files with only the episode number will only work with some software.

Note that One Piece is currently wrongly split in multiple seasons instead of a single one. The merge will be done by the administrator at a later date, not yet defined.
