I am developing a utility that uses The Movie Database API to retrieve information about movies. When I search for a movie I am facing an issue when the filename contains special characters (e.g., dots, spaces, and other characters different from the original name), the search does not return any results. For example, "Le.diner.de.cons.FRENCH.1080p" does not yield a match, while "Le diner de cons" returns the correct information.

I am using the movie search endpoint (https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie) with the correct API key. Is there a recommended method for formatting file names with special characters in the query to obtain relevant results?
