How to understand what values string query parameters can take? I'm interested in with_cast, with_people, with_companies etc.

You must use the TMDb ID for the item you are looking for.
Movies, TV Series, People, Collections, TV Networks, Keywords and Production Companies each have their own ID.
All examples below have ID 500.

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/500-mad-about-you
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/500-tom-cruise
https://www.themoviedb.org/network/500
https://www.themoviedb.org/company/500

People is the Cast and Crew grouping.
For example, Tom Cruise, ID 500.

Can be filtered to:
Only as an actor: &with_cast=500
Only as a producer: &with_crew=500
Or as actor and/or producer: &with_people=500
