The Movie Database Support

Hi, I'm trying to write a little personal script to rename my TV episode files with episode names in the title. So far, I've taken a look at the individual episode details endpoint, and the TV season details endpoint. I'm leaning towards using the TV season details endpoint because it fetches all episode names in a single request, which feels like it would be lighter on the servers. But there's a lot of extra information served up with the request, such as a detailed cast list etc. I'm wondering if there is a better way to solve my problem. Is the API overkill for my needs? Each episode file currently has the show name, season number, and episode number in the title already, all I need is to fetch the episode name and append it to the title. Should I try something simpler like writing a script to scrape the details off of Wikipedia or something?
