TMDB site is not working when we try to access it from india. When we use VPN its working fine.

It's been a long time since I've seen users complaining about access in India.
In the past we had some cases.
I don't know if the problem is the same or a new problem.

Check if the 3 TMDb domains can be accessed in your country.

Click on each of them.
If possible, also check using a VPN.
A few years ago there was a blockade in India because of a court decision in your country.

Its not working without vpn but few days back it was working without vpn. And now I have to use vpn everytime when i use the api.

Are all 3 domains having the same problem?
Have you tested?
What is the result of each of them?

If it works with a VPN, then there is a problem in your ISP or location or country.
Try changing your DNS service.

I have checked its not working on my Wifi but works on my mobile hotspot.

Is your Wi-Fi ISP (Internet Service Provider) not the same as your HotSpot?
Try changing the DNS (Domain Name Service) of your Wi-Fi.
If it is Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Switch to Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1
Or the opposite.

The situation in India is a bit confusing.
The Indian judiciary blocked it 4 years ago.
Apparently some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are no longer blocked.
TMDb cannot help you solve this problem.
We can only suggest that you try other ISPs and try changing your DNS.

If TMDB isn't working in your region, here’s a simple fix to bypass censorship:

1. Enable Secure DNS in your browser (Chrome/Firefox) and select Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) as the provider.
2. Install this userscript I made — it helps load broken or missing TMDB images.

If you're accessing the TMDB API outside the browser (e.g., in scripts or third-party apps), make sure to change your IPv4 and IPv6 DNS settings system-wide to Cloudflare. You can follow Cloudflare’s official setup guide for Windows.

In rare cases where the site or API is still blocked, try using tools like Cloudflare WARP or GoodbyeDPI.
