Got some channels that should be listed as certified official outlets for distributors.

Paramount Movies Digital (although this seems to have stopped being updated, it was definitely an official channel for Paramount): https://www.themoviedb.org/video/channel/UCOwaTlA0nHlqMf4HBEWmLaw

Paramount Movies UK (UK page for Paramount Pictures): https://www.themoviedb.org/video/channel/UCXwyXuLskuYsZiWNh0STJdw

Sky Cinema (UK film channel and distributor, who recently split off their Cinema uploads from the main Sky channel, which is certified): https://www.themoviedb.org/video/channel/UCP6T93Fe7qKYlvb_5Cs8Z4g

(Got some more on the previous page if those got missed)

Should film festival channels be made official and be added to the contribution bible as an official source?

example:

https://www.youtube.com/@Canadianfilmfest

Film festival channels are currently recommended only if no official trailers can be found and status is considered semi-official (so no official status at this time).

I assume this isn't an official channel?

https://www.youtube.com/@tvserien

Correct.

but is it a semi official channel? (can it be used for videos on this site?)

No and no.

Additionally can someone explain what a fandango channel is? The contribution bible says those channels are allowed to have videos on here.

Fandango is a US movie ticket company that used to have a reliable selection of movie trailers. However, their trailer business was bought by Rotten Tomatoes and I don't think Rotten Tomatoes Trailers has semi-official status. But if another mod knows for sure, please feel free to correct me.

Oh so Fandando channels dont exist anymore?

They still have one channel left, but it's not the same as before. All their various trailer channels have been concentrated as Rotten Tomatoes Trailers.

Thank you dear

ok thanks

just an idea, what about starting to blacklist known unofficial channels? (eg. https://www.youtube.com/@MoviemanTrailers , https://www.youtube.com/@TrailerTracker, https://www.youtube.com/@TrailerTrackerEnglish)

(that would prevent any vids from blacklisted channels being added?

Is this official:

https://www.youtube.com/@simplymedia4370 ?

Simply Media is a British distributor, so it should be official.

yes you are right
