Hi,
I am looking to get a movie cover picture that has 16:9 aspect ratio. I can't use the poster pics because they aren't 16:9. But I saw that the backdrop pics have the aspect ratio that I need. However, they aren't suitable as cover pictures.
So my question is: Is there anyway I can get a movie cover picture that has 16:9 aspect ratio?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I found the following image sizes while researching: logo, profile, and still. However, I'm not sure how to get those ones.

Not on here, though sometimes, there's backdrops attached in Language, that somewhat can look like a movie poster. For example one I added to Brother Bear 2. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/10010-brother-bear-2/images/backdrops?image_language=en&language=en-US
(16:9 isn't really a common movie poster aspect ratio though, 2:3 is the shit!

Hi Marr,
Thanks for the quick reply. I just tried using the backdrop images and I was very surprised by how badass they look! So I'm gonna use them! BTW, I'm an aspect ratio noobie. The only aspect ratio I know is 16:9 which is for wide screen. Can you please elaborate further on the 2:3 aspect ratio? Is it used for posters here? for backdrops? Got any examples of how it looks?
If you know any helpful links about it I'll be much thankful.

Yes, 2:3 is used for posters (and profile images), it basically means that when the poster is 2 pixels (or 2000 pixels) wide, it will be 3 (or 3000) pixels in height. For example; 300x450 (only profile images), 500x750 (minimum for posters), 667x1000 (approx), 1000x1500, 1400x2100 and 2000x3000 (maximum for posters/profile images)
Wikipedia covers it pretty well; "The aspect ratio of an image describes the proportional relationship between its width and its height. It is commonly expressed as two numbers separated by a colon, as in 16:9."
