API Key

For the last month I have been trying to obtain a API key so that I could use it. I dont know how to manually create one , I am using a windows laptop, so even if I do get the API I dont know how to install it, I do have a media player onto my computer. Could you assist me ? I have tried to get a api so that i could use it and find out where to put it but I can't even get the api key.

Hi @jamzymusik The API is a higher level programmer service, it's not something you "install". It doesn't sound like you are a developer so I'm just curious, what makes you think you want an API key?

Well I have a media program and when I go to add streams to play or when I enter the site to access information to share it asks for a API to the site... during the set up process. I don't know but what information I have recieved was i need a api to access certain sites, I did receive one but I dont know how to apply it to use it

Ok, so it's some software you are using. I can't answer where you need to enter it (since you said you got an API key). You'll have to contact the developer of the application you are using or perhaps they have some documentation online.
